1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 Journal Overview

This Journal is mainly focused human resource management works within a start-up company. In this we are discussing the key factors and requirements for the start-up company during this covid-19 situation of the country. And also we discuss about the evaluation of management, Organization Designs and Key result areas in HR. This journal is a reflective write-up on what the webinar was about, what was learnt from it and how the knowledge gained from it can be applied to my future career.

2. HUMAN RESOURRCES AND ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOUR

2.1 Summary

The overall purpose of human resources (HR) is to ensure that the organization is able to achieve success through people .Human resource management refers to the process of recruiting and developing a company's workforce. The HR department is concerned with identifying talent gaps in a company, advertising for positions, evaluating potential candidates, and hiring top talent.

  

2.2 Learning Outcome

The purpose of the Human resource management is to make the job and deal with the job holder (employee). So as to perform a job in an organization, one needs to be identified. In order to identify the right person for a particular job, a notification should be issued which contains the job description (duties and responsibilities) and specifications (academic qualifications and physical qualifications). So as to verify the correctness of the candidates invited, they should be tested by the suitable selection methods for picking-up the right person. Subsequently selected candidates should be provided with the proper training for performing their duties & responsibilities mentioned in the notification. Later, an assessment of employees' performance should be done to know whether employees are performing to the desired standards set by the management. Accordingly, employees should be rewarded or paid for the job they did in the organization and their safety in the job is the responsibility of Human Recourse manager or safety officer who should instruct safety measures for the employees and see that they are scrupulously followed. Healthy and welfare measures are so-so important to keep employees happy and motivated which has a direct impact on their productivity.

 I can get a clearer picture of the human resource management goals, challenges and solutions for our new start-up company. Now I can manage my company when journal during COVID-19 situation. So, when I start a company in the future, it is easy to manage the HR management process.

  

2.3 Application of the area covered

All businesses need capital, whether to rent a building, buy equipment or pay for electricity. But the most essential requirement for running a business is human capital - the employees hired to run the company. Al the HR departments not only receive and manage this important institutional investment, but also ensure that it is developed and sustained. A HR department that sets clear goals for managing its employees will see great progress in ensuring the company's success.

 One of the primary objectives of the HR department is to maintain productivity by providing enough skilled and skilled workers to the organization. A good HR manager should constantly review the workload, know where the potential problems are with HR, and when it's time for additional help. Similarly, understanding revenues within the organization can help identify critical areas and allow policy amendments or other changes.

 Human resources play a major role in achieving the business and cooperate goals of the company, and therefore they must be managed effectively. There are three main reason why human resources must be managed effectively; 1. Scarcity - Best employees are not easy to find, especially in the numbers the companies want. 2. Cost - The cost of paying the salaries of the employees are rising day by day. 3. Diversity - The competencies differ, and every individual is unique and has a diverse set of skills. The tasks of human resource managers are to get the right people, nurture them and then keeping them in the long run to achieve organizational objectives. To make sure these three aspects are addressed and fulfilled, there are other areas that HR managers need to incorporate into their management procedures. When recruiting individuals, considering only their academic qualifications is not sufficient. Their applied knowledge which comes with experience and how well you they apply the knowledge and also their emotional intelligence must be considered in order to make the company sustainable and achieve the company goals. When managing the existing employees of an organization their talents should be valued and they should be given the due respect. Their performance, engagement, talents, relationships should 3 | P a g e also be managed and necessary steps must be taken to ensure that the individuals working for the company will progress along with the company. The challenges companies have to face now are completely different from the challenges they had to face before the covid-19 situation. Due to COVID-19 situation health of the employees has been the key issue that should be addressed by HR managers. In addition to that, transitioning to remote environments, coordinating and fostering connections with employees, protecting employees’ jobs, communicating with the employees frequently and clearly, continuing business operations, dealing with uncertainties, reducing costs and helping employees with their mental health are among the aspects that should be addressed by the HR managers.

 

3. Conclusion

Every organization utilizes a variety of resources to make the business functional. Resources includes the assets, valuables and other items used to generate profit. No matter what the industry is, all the businesses have one thing in common, they must have the human resources in order to make use of their capital and other assets. Therefore, managing human resources is of vital importance if a business or an organization wants to succeed. Managing human resources is just as important as managing time and other resources like money and also, we should not forget to manage our happiness and relationships.

 The degree of success of an organization depends on the success of strategies adopted by its top management organs. Although this is the case, it is important to note that, performance levels and the organization’s business viability depend on the type of workforce such an organization has.
